Despite its common name, Tulip Poplars are not true poplar trees, but are the source for almost all poplar lumber in the US.
They are the state trees of Kentucky, Tennessee, and Indiana.
Design
These magnets are made from solid tulip poplar. The natural finished are simply coated in lacquer, while the dyed ones are hand-colored before being finished. The backs always have the name of the tree engraved, while the fronts can come in a variety of styles. Find the one that matches your personality!
Note: as these are handmade items made from natural wood, there is a wide array of appearance in the magnets. Some are flat, some are curved, and the grain itself varies in color and detail.
