Celebrate the trees of North America with this magnet showcasing the heart-shaped leaf of a tree beloved for spring and fall color. The Eastern Redbud (Cercis canadensis) is found throughout North America, and is notorious for bright magenta flowers and it's dark bark.
The leaves can change to a variety of colors, both in the fall and as they come out on the tree. Some special cultivars will even show almost the entire rainbow!
They are the state trees of Oklahoma.
Design
These magnets are made from solid poplar. The natural finished are simply coated in lacquer, while the dyed ones are hand-colored before being finished. The backs always have the name of the tree engraved, while the fronts can come in a variety of styles. Find the one that matches your personality!
Note: as these are handmade items made from natural wood, there is a wide array of appearance in the magnets. Some are flat, some are curved, and the grain itself varies in color and detail. For the dyed ones, a random one will be selected. If you have a particular style you'd like, please add it as a note with your order and I'll do my best to accommodate you!
